A successful fresh lookup returns the current Stories available for one public profile. You use one lookup whether the result contains one photo or several photos and videos. Reopening a cached result and downloading individual items use no additional lookups. Choose a one-time lookup pack for more fresh checks; Google sign-in is required for purchases.
Is this Instagram story viewer anonymous?
Yes, in one specific sense: this Instagram story viewer never uses your Instagram account. You do not log in to Instagram, and the lookup is requested by our server through a public-content source rather than through your Instagram session. Because your account is not involved, your username is not added to the Story’s viewer list.
Anonymous does not mean that no data exists. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver pages and prevent abuse, and the username you search is sent to our content provider. Can the account owner see that I viewed their Story?
Instagram lets a creator see which Instagram accounts viewed their Story while the viewer list is available. When you use this IG story viewer, no Instagram account of yours opens the Story, so there is no username of yours to appear in that list. The creator will still see you if you also open the same Story in the Instagram app while logged in.
We cannot control how Instagram counts views internally or how it changes its features. What we can state is what this tool does: it never asks for your password, never connects your account, and never follows, likes or replies on your behalf.

The viewer is a normal web page, so it works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. There is no app to install and no browser extension. Why some Instagram Stories don’t show
If an Instagram story viewer shows nothing, the reason is usually one of these:
- The profile is private. This tool refuses private profiles and never tries to bypass them.
- No Story in the last 24 hours. Stories disappear after 24 hours unless the creator adds them to Highlights (Instagram Help Center), and this version does not show Highlights.
- The username changed or is misspelled. Check the exact handle or paste the profile link instead.
- The result is cached. Results are shared for 10 minutes, so a Story posted a moment ago can appear a little later.
- A temporary source error or limit. An error says nothing about whether the account has Stories. Wait and try again.
